Is Luis Enrique Dabbling in Drugs?

Barcelona, the team that every other wishes to emulate, the team who taught this European generation how to play football, a team with the greatest player on the planet and a team who possess the greatest front 3 in the World with MSN. The style of the Catalan club needs no explanation, their high press, high intensity and ridiculously creative way of playing the beautiful game has become iconic and having failed to retain the Champions League last year, losing out to rivals Real Madrid, manager Luis Enrique has looked to bolster his squad during the summer in order to bring the European trophy back to the Camp Nou.

Barcelona usually like to bring in players with potential that they can mould into their style, there have been exceptions through the years where they’ve bought finished articles like Suarez but generally speaking they like them young and ready to learn. This summer so far the Catalan giants have bought four 22 years olds that they hope will start the new generation of Barcelona:

  • Denis Suarez (CM)
  • Andre Gomes (CM)
  • Lucas Digne (LB)
  • Samuel Umtiti (CB)

The last player on Luis Enrique’s shopping list is a striker, whilst having Neymar, Suarez and Messi may be a gift from the gods, last year’s La Liga champions need some support in the attacking department for one they play the shit La Liga teams and need to give their main men a rest.

Salomon-Rondon-1

Young, hungry, electric pace, goalscoring instinct, reliable, flexible, good feet, great in the air, these are a combination of abilities that Barca should be looking for in their new player. It comes as quite a surprise then that they are currently being linked with W.B.A. ‘hitman’ Salomon Rondon, yes that’s right, Salomon Rondon. The 26 year old Venezuelan racked up a monster 9 Premier League goals last season for West Brom and after shedding some weight during the summer it appears that Luis Enrique has inhaled a sufficient amount of crack to consider him as a viable option to support his stars. Good luck to you Luis, changing someone from the Pulis way to the Barca way is like teaching a Amish librarian to be a man-eating slut. Each to their own mate, each to their own. This is why it’s a great idea to choose to study abroad in Spain, you get to go to Camp Nou and watch one of the best teams in the world.
