Gerard Pique Takes a Shot at Arsene Wenger

Motormouth and avid Arsenal fan Piers Morgan is, like many Arsenal fans desperate for Arsene Wenger to buy some World Class players, so desperate in fact that he has taken to Twitter to ask some of the World’s best footballers to join his tight fisted club. After yet another transfer window with little activity except for the signing of Granit Xhaka and today’s confirmed transfer of Lucas ‘who-the-hell-are-you’ Perez, Arsenal fans have has just about enough. Piers contacted Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Antoine Griezmann and Gerard Pique in an effort to get them to join the Gunners and display once again his disdain for Wenger’s inactivity in the transfer window.

Naturally there wan’t much of a reply from the players, except for Gerard Pique who took the opportunity to take a swipe at both Arsene Wenger and the current Arsenal squad.

We are not too sure how Wenger will see Pique’s comments, the likelihood of him giving a shit is pretty slim, it has never worked before when people have had a go at his transfer policy and at 67 years of age he seems unlikely to change. Shakira’s fella does have a point to be honest and when you’re fishing around at the backend of August looking at players like Jonny Evans for 25 million, its hard for Wenger to have any defence, in all senses of the word.
