Aston Villa Fan David Cameron Forgets What Team He Supports And It’s Awkward
Prime Minister of the UK David Cameron who has proudly affirmed on more than one occasion that he has been “a proud and passionate Aston Villa fan” all his life, committed a football cardinal sin in the Election 2015 speech by forgetting who he supports. He was on the right track with claret and blue, but supposed “lifelong fan” Dave got The Villa mixed up with West Ham!
The Tory leader was in full flow of his speech, passionately highlighting the positives in Britain’s multicultural unity within the workplace when he attempted to add a bit of personal preference into his dialogue…but it all went terribly wrong.
“Where you can be Welsh and Hindu and British, Northern Irish and Jewish and British, where you can wear a kilt and a turban, where you can wear a hijab covered in poppies.
“Where you can support Man Utd, the Windies and Team GB all at the same time. Of course, I’d rather you supported West Ham.”
As you can imagine, party opposition members and other celebrities flocked to social media:
Red-faced Cameron tried to laugh it off:
“I had what Natalie Bennett described as a brain fade. I’m a Villa fan… I must have been overcome by something… this morning. But there we are, these things sometimes happen when you are on the stump.”

Oh my Bosko Balaban! Looks like someone may have chosen a random team in the Premiership to make himself look like he appeals more to the common man.
