Prem’s Fastest Player Revealed And It Ain’t Who You Thought
The Premier League featured some truly rapid players and the question has been asked many times as to who is the fastest, many think WKD drinking Vardy might be the one with the most fuel in his boots, Walcott has made a good case in recent years, Kyle Walker flies up and down the right flank for Spurs like a man possessed and Hector Bellerin makes the pitch look half size with the speed in which he covers the ground… these boys however are not the fastest.
Who is then? I hear you cry, to put you out of your misery, it is Southampton forward Shane Long… yes, really, the striker has clocked up the fastest speed this year, the Irishman reached a top speed of 35.31 km/ph, absolutely crazy! Here is the top ten list in full:
10. Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) – 34.77km/h
8 = Maya Yoshida (Southampton) – 34.78 km/h
8 = Theo Walcott (Arsenal) – 34.78 km/h
7. Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) – 34.79 km/h
6. Eric Bailly (Manchester United) – 34.84 km/h
5. Andre Gray (Burnley) – 34.87 km/h
4. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) – 35.10 km/h
3. Kyle Walker (Tottenham) – 35.18 km/h

We’ve long felt here at LOL towers that the Premier League should put on a sort of footballing Olympics each summer with 100m races, keep up challenge, skills challenges and of course, diving. In fact we should start a petition to get those miserable twats in FA HQ to give us all an extra summer treat in between the Euros and the World Cup, who’s with us?
