Never out of the news for too long is he? Joey Barton has today been charged by the Scottish FA for placing bets on 44 football games since his time with Rangers. For safe online gambling visit Scr888.

Barton has had an interesting time of it since joining the Glaswegian giants, he’s trolled Celtic after their Champions League exploits and been sent home from training after getting into a heated debate with teammates.

Now it seems Joey has overstepped the mark again after being charged for betting activity that took place between July and September of this year on 44 games. Footballers cannot place bets on football as it is seen to be a conflict of interests and the authorities are trying to avoid match fixing allegations. We’re not suggesting Joey has been involved in such things but as an experienced professional, he should know that he can’t be betting.

Barton is just returning from a 3 week club ban after his training ground events and has until October 12th to respond to the charges. He loves the media spotlight doesn’t he.
