Sunderland Break Yann M’Villa’s Heart After Refusing To Answer Phone
After one of the most insane transfer windows ever that has seen Pogba return to Manchester United for a world record fee, David Luiz head back to Stamford Bridge and over a billion pounds spent by Premier League clubs, not everyone will wake up this morning with a smile on their face. Players like Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mamadou Sakho and Saido Berahino will be waking up this morning begrudging the next few months at their clubs until the next transfer window opens in January.
Another such player who has woken up this morning with tears in his eyes is Yann M’Villa, the Rubin Kazan midfielder who, having spent last season on loan at Sunderland, was itching for a permanent move to the Black Cats. In a heartbreaking tale we learned that the midfielder even resorted to calling his former employers to try and engineer a move, Sunderland however had other ideas and didn’t even answer the poor fellas call.
It looked for a while like the Black Cats would be able to seal a move for M’Villa with David Moyes looking to bolster his midfield options during the window. Rubin Kazam however were holding out for a reported 8.5 million which it seems the Wearsiders had no intention of paying. During yesterday’s deadline day dealings, M’Villa sent out a heartfelt Instagram message in a plea to force through his move. Sadly his emotional post went unheard.
